Job Description:

  • As a senior IT project manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing large-scale IT projects within our organization.
  • You will oversee all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Management

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and motivate globally distributed project team members on a proactive basis.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Conduct performance evaluations of team members and provide constructive feedback.

Resource Management

  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.

Financial Management

  • Estimate the costs of all the resources, activities, and contingencies involved in the project, and align them with the available funds and the expected benefits.
  • Track and monitor the actual spending and performance of the project against the planned budget.
  • Report the budget status and progress to the stakeholders and sponsors regularly and transparently.

Risk Management

  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, budget, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project lifecycle.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure that projects are completed within budget and on time.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems or a related field.
  • MS degree preferred.

Experience

  • At least 8 years in the role of project manager, including 4 years' experience with full life-cycle software development.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.

Knowledge

  • Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of process design, project estimation, Microsoft Project, as well as risk assessment and mitigation.

Abilities

  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries to accomplish team goals as well as work within a close team environment, be self-motivated and adhere to project schedules and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to grasp complex solutions in a broad fashion and resolve issues and assignments utilizing logical thinking, process, and clear communication.
  • Requires ability to handle simultaneously, multiple projects and deadlines.

Skills

  • Conversant with a variety approaches and technologies used to build modern web and mobile applications.
  • Examples:
    • Front-tier / User Interface - HTML, CSS, React
    • Middle-tier / Integrations - MuleSoft, BizTalk, Oracle ESB
    • Back-tier - databases - MS SQL Server, Oracle
    • Data movement - Informatica, ETL, ELT
    • Cloud - AWS, Azure
    • Reporting - Microsoft Reporting Services
    • Office - MS SharePoint, MS Visio, MS Office
    • Methodologies - SAFe, Scrum, Lean, XP, FDD, Waterfall
