Role Description

This is a full-time role for an Architect/Residential Designer at Alma Homes in Orono, MN. The role involves creating architectural designs, managing projects, managing the design team, and and integrating software solutions to enhance design processes.


Qualifications

  • Candidate must be a licensed architect, or must have graduated from an accredited graduate program with a degree in architecture and have completed all IDP hours OR 10+ years of residential architectural design experience.
  • Experience in residential design
  • Strong organizational, creative and presentation skills
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp
  • Proficent in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Project Management experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities


The ideal candidate will be a licensed architect or a graduate from an architecture program who has completed their AXP and is in the process of taking the ARE's. We will also consider individuals without architecture degrees but who have 10+ years doing residential architectural design. The candidate should have an in-depth knowledge of all steps related to project completion and diligently communicate with necessary people to ensure timely execution, and have experience in residential design. This candidate should also be able to conduct quality assurance checks on a frequent basis in order to ensure regulations are being followed.
