Our work spans high-end residential projects, luxury renovations, and retail, and we are looking for a talented Design Assistant to join our dynamic team.


Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and creative Design Assistant who will work directly with our Senior Project Manager and Junior Interior Designer, playing a crucial role in supporting various stages of the design process. In addition to assisting with design projects, you will also contribute to managing both our brick-and-mortar and online shop operations, as well as supporting our social media for the design firm and shop.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager and Junior Interior Designer to support all aspects of the design process, from research and sourcing to project execution.
  • Assist in creating mood boards, presentations, and design concepts for client meetings.
  • Support in coordinating with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely project completion.
  • Help with inventory management, product orders, and showroom displays at The Atelier.
  • Assist with product selection, merchandising, and customer service for our retail shop, both in-store and online.
  • Contribute to social media content creation, including styling photoshoots, drafting captions, and scheduling posts for both the design firm and shop.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as organizing project files, maintaining schedules, and updating timelines.
  • Conduct site measurements and assist in gathering necessary details for design projects.
  • Stay current with design trends, products, and industry best practices.


Qualifications:

  • A degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in interior design, retail, or a related role.
  • A passion for luxury design, interior styling, and retail merchandising.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Experience managing social media platforms is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude with a desire to learn and grow.
