In this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Transforming user requirements into functional designs and technical concepts.
- Offering advanced technical solutions and guiding your team through the process.
- Bringing creativity and ingenuity to tackle existing manufacturing challenges.
- Applying your knowledge of product design and assembly to optimize manufacturing.
- Conducting thorough plant assessments, understanding customer needs, and defining scope of work.
- Supporting the creation of RFQs/RFIs for vendors and evaluating their proposals.
- Contributing to winning projects by collaborating on customer proposals.
- Coordinating with offshore and vendor teams based on project requirements.
- Actively participating in project and senior management reviews.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term client relationships.
The Ideal Candidate Possesses:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (5+ years) in a relevant field.
- Proven project management skills and end-to-end automation project execution experience.
- Expertise in project estimation, proposal preparation, and customer/stakeholder management.
- A strong track record in vendor management and crafting RFQs for vendors.
- Experience in conducting plant and process assessments.
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing automation applications.
- A background in custom engineered solutions and factory automation is a plus.
- Experience developing system integration solutions for assembly line automation.
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and control automation.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), robotic work cells, and automation cell integration (including robotics, pneumatics, PLCs, and safety).
