Part-Time Accounting SpecialistWe are looking for a dedicated Part-Time Accounting Specialist to join our team in Hastings, Minnesota. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to vital financial processes within a small and collaborative department. The role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach to managing accounting tasks effectively.Responsibilities:Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Handle daily cash receipts and perform cash reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies efficiently.Prepare monthly sales tax reports and ensure compliance with tax regulations.Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and oversee related reporting.Process credit applications and references while adhering to company policies.Ensure all receipts are accurately documented and filed for financial tracking.Utilize accounting software to manage purchase orders and payable transactions.Generate sales reporting and other financial analyses using Excel.Assist in preparing month-end closing activities and related documentation.Requirements:At least 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing functions.Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and cash management processes.Familiarity with monthly sales tax reporting and compliance.Experience with fixed asset tracking and reporting.Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis.Ability to work independently in a small team environment.Strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
