The role of construction administrator is to ensure the timely and quality delivery of a project to an owner. This requires a detailed understanding of the construction contract and ability to understand the project documents and requirements. The success of a construction phase will create the lasting legacy of a project and is critical for the client’s and firm’s success.


Key Responsibilities and Abilities

  • Administering a project’s contract for construction
  • Client engagement
  • Field visits to project sites on a weekly or biweekly basis as required by the project
  • Lead construction meetings as required by the project
  • Preparing field reports, responding to RFIs and Submittals, and other required construction documentation in a timely manner
  • Change Order proposal review and negotiation
  • Participation in collaborative problem-solving process
  • Prioritizing tasks while responding to changing needs and schedules
  • Assisting team members in construction detailing production
  • Coordination with consulting engineers’ CA personnel
  • Coordination with AHJ personnel
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office are required; proficiency in Revit is a plus.
