New York, United States Stealth Startup Full time

About the Company

We are an early-stage fintech startup on a mission to redefine how America saves and invests for future generations. By leveraging cutting-edge AI and machine learning, we aim to empower families with long-term financial security, starting from the moment a child is born. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to be part of a company that will reshape the financial landscape and solve one of the most pressing challenges facing America today: the financial security crisis. We aim to positively impact millions of families across the U.S., giving them the tools to build lasting financial security.

About the Role

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join us as a partner in building a generation-defining fintech company. This is not just a CTO role—it’s an opportunity to take full ownership of the technical vision and execution while working side by side with the CEO every day. If you’re passionate about AI, financial inclusion, and building products that change lives, we want you to help shape the future of this company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build the Initial Product: Collaborate closely with the CEO to design, develop, and launch our MVP. You’ll be hands-on from day one, scrappily iterating based on customer feedback.
  • Define and Execute the Technology Roadmap: Develop the technical vision and lead the strategic execution to scale our platform while ensuring it aligns with the broader business goals.
  • AI-Driven Innovation: Lead the integration of AI and machine learning into our core product to create breakthrough financial solutions.
  • Leadership and Team Building: While you may initially rely on contractors or external engineers, you will effectively be the lead developer and decision-maker on the project from day one, with the responsibility to recruit and manage a high-performing team as the company grows.
  • Scrappy Execution: Build in a fast, iterative, and lean way to solve problems efficiently and move quickly in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Drive Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to keep us at the forefront of fintech innovation.

Qualifications

  • Grit and Entrepreneurial Mindset: You are someone who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment, with a deep passion for solving America's financial security crisis.
  • Proven Leadership: As a CTO, lead engineer, or similar senior engineering role in a startup, with the ability to build, lead, and inspire technical teams.
  • 6+ Years of Software Engineering: Demonstrated success in backend development, scaling technology platforms, and integrating AI/ML solutions.
  • AI Expertise Preferred: While AI and machine learning experience is a major plus, your drive to innovate and push boundaries is what matters most.
  • Industry Knowledge: Fintech and startup experience is a plus but not required.
  • Recruitment and Team Building: Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire, and manage engineering teams.

What’s in It for You?

  • Impact: Play a pivotal role in solving one of the most critical financial challenges in America, changing how families invest for generations to come. Join us in creating a product that will positively impact the lives of millions.
  • Significant Equity: As an early team member, you will receive a meaningful equity stake, giving you ownership in the company’s success.
  • Compensation: Post-raise, you will receive competitive cash compensation in addition to your equity stake.
  • Remote-Friendly: Flexible work arrangements with the option to work remotely or join us in our headquarters in New York.

How to Apply

If you’re driven by the mission to transform financial security in America, and you have the technical expertise and entrepreneurial mindset to lead a company through its early stages, we’d love to hear from you. Please submit your resume and a brief blurb on why this role excites you and why you are uniquely positioned for this opportunity.
