As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) joining our team, you're embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier.Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the physical therapist assistant provides physical therapy services to patients needing to develop, recover and maintain physical mobility/function.Reports to: Director of Physical TherapyA Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who excels in this role:Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities. Seeks consultation as necessary.Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan.Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist.Documents services provided and patient response/progress.Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.Assists with patient discharge planning.Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.What we're looking for a licensed physical therapy assistant that is looking to make a positive impact in their community.Applicants should have an associate's degree/graduate of a physical therapy assistant program. Additional requirements include:Active and valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of KansasBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationCritical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
