Summary

ESI is looking for a high-performing and self-motivated SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) developer with strong Healthcare software solution expertise to join our DDI implementation team and drive critical initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, infrastructure, and product teams, and involves ongoing interaction with a variety of end-users and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have an acute knowledge of SSRS along with exceptional SQL skills and knowledge of SSIS while possessing 8-15 years of hands-on reports development experience along with various types of data repositories (e.g., data warehouses, data lakes, data marts), metadata management, dimensional modeling, and ETL/integration.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Design, develop, conduct unit testing, and maintain complex SSRS reports for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use.
  2. Provide technical expertise in areas of architecture, design, and implementation.
  3. Determine the best implementation method that will meet the design of the architect.
  4. Work with team members to create useful reports and dashboards that provide insight, improve/automate processes, or otherwise add value to the team.
  5. Work through iterative review cycles to deliver results that meet or exceed user expectations.
  6. Ensure consistency by adhering to a set of software coding and style guides.
  7. Proven experience in developing and working with SSRS Reports.
  8. Resolve support tickets related to SSRS reports, including SQL.
  9. Use existing experience in healthcare or Medicaid to drive processes and improvements.
  10. Responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
  11. Report Development Certification is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Ability to interpret technical or dashboard structure and translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.
  2. Advanced knowledge of SSRS with strong knowledge of other reporting tools such as Tableau, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, or Power BI, for best practices in scalability, performance, content management, and governance.
  3. Advanced understanding of SQL, relational database management systems, data modeling, and normalization with an advanced knowledge understanding of data extraction mechanisms and data warehousing concepts.
  4. Strong development skills in SSRS, data analytics, and visualizations.

Work remotely within the United States.

May be required to work extended hours for special business needs.
