The Assistant Manager role is a high-level management position, also referred to as a General Manager in training, used as a supplemental management role at high volume restaurants to assist the General Manager in making sure the restaurant meets McDonald's critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The Guest Service Department Manager's responsibilities may include making sure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience, that sales promotions are done well, that all service staff are trained in service procedures, and that the Front Counter McCaf and Drive-Thru areas are organized for the best service. Previous managerial experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail or hospitality environment.
