Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Company Info: A healthcare technology company that supports payers and specialty pharmacies Location: Onsite in Pittsburgh, PA (parking will vary; street parking and garage) Licensure: PA just added a license requirement that will kick in on June 26; will need to be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician by then) Pay: $20/hr Hours: M-F 10a-6pm, no flexibility here because it does have to align with the only Pharmacist on staff's hours Duration: contract through the end of 2026 with the potential to go longer (Contract includes benefits, sick time, 401k, weekly pay) Overview: Mix of data entry and phone work (will rotate between the two; must be comfortable doing both) Phone Calls will mostly be outbound to EITHER pharmacies (to ask for transfers of prescriptions) or Dr offices (may have to call to get new prescription) Will operate off of a "work list" - like a queue - of scripts you need to work through NEED to have prescription data entry experience, retail experience is great Selling Points: A lot of retail Techs may find a role like this appealing - will have some similar responsibilities such as the data entry, but this is a non-traditional pharmacy setting, more of an office role that doesn't involve patient interaction. * We will consider for employment all qualified Applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable federal, state, and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance (FCIHO), Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers (ULAC), The San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance (FCO), and the California Fair Chance Act (CFCA). * This position is subject to a background check based on its job duties, which may include patient care, working with vulnerable populations, access to financial and confidential information, driving, working with heavy machinery, or working in a warehouse or laboratory environment.
