The Wine Club Manager is responsible for the growth of the Wine Club guest experience for the winery, carrying out the company mission to create guests for life and memorable experiences. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and a proven track record of success.


  • Be the champion of customer service by developing rapport with wine club members, while driving sales, members, and email list acquisition and member retention
  • Communicates with members in a knowledgeable, professional, and gracious manner that is consistent with the mission and vision of the winery
  • Manages and maintains wine club database, coordinates fulfillment, processes, and ships special custom orders
  • Follow up with customers and respond/resolve customer inquiries
  • Handles special club member requests for purchases and visits to the winery
  • Work to retain club members who wish to cancel membership
  • Develops and implements programs and marketing support materials, develops pricing strategies, monitors employee incentive programs, and coordinates wine club special events
  • Develop and implement wine club events and group bookings
  • Coordinate all vendor relations, including negotiating pricing for events
  • Maintain, evaluate, and provide periodic reports on the guest comments and feedback
  • Develop monthly promotions to target groups, maintain a website regarding wines and upcoming events
  • Represent the winery at club events and provide additional support as needed
  • Maintain and build solid working relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Keep up to date on the overall activities of the department, identify problem areas, and take corrective action
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors and DTC best practices in the industry
  • Demonstrated business acumen and an innate understanding of wine hospitality and customer service excellence
  • Entrepreneurial and creative spirit to drive and move the winery forward
  • Proven leadership skills and track record of success in managing others
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak in front of people
  • Willing to work holidays and weekends as required and extended hours to complete the job
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office, as well as POS and database applications
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
  • Interpersonal awareness, relationship management, and influencing skills.
  • Must be proactive and have strong organizational skills including exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
  • Database management and high-level guest service skills
  • Wine knowledge and appreciation are necessary for this position
  • A valid CA driver’s license is required with a clean DMV record


Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years related to retail or wine hospitality management and sales experience
  • BA or BS in Marketing or Business or equivalent combination of education and experience
