Operating Room RN

  • M-F 7am to 330pm
  • 8 ORs and 3 procedure rooms, considered a larger surgery center so depending on the case type, it can vary on daily case load

  • Needs to be someone with strong Operating Room experience (circulating/scrubbing) – cannot just be an endoscopy type of nurse


Job Summary:


We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care during surgical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the successful outcomes of our patients.


Duties:

  • Assist the surgical team before, during, and after surgical procedures
  • Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
  • Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery
  • Assist with positioning and draping patients for surgery
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and sterile environment


Requirements:

  • Associate degree (A.A.), Bachelor degree, or Master degree in nursing. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of 6 months of previous experience.
  • Valid Registered Nurse license in North Carolina.
  • Minimum of two (2) years peri-operative experience, preferably in a multi-specialty ambulatory setting.

  • Critical thinker with good judgment, problem solving skills, initiative, and ability to organize work in order of importance.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal communication skills, leadership, and team building.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in critical situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Open to using new technology and determined to find the best way to achieve the best possible outcomes.
