Surplus Coordinator Service IIUnder the general direction of the Surplus Sales Coordinator, the Surplus Coordinator Service II coordinates all aspects of a retail store operation. This includes directing and assisting employees in the timely retrieval of surplused items, inventorying, display and correct pricing of received items. Processing payments to complete sales of these items and assisting in the loading and delivery of items as needed.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities Include:Ensures the store is open and ready for sales Monday thru Friday at 8:00amAssigns daily work projects and hours for student employees.When necessary, personally assists in work projects and the moving of items.Ensures that all Disposal Records are inventoried and reported accurately and completely.Responsible for the proper pricing, arrangement and display of surplus items for sale.Conducts live bids on items as necessary.Travel to Statewide campuses as needed.Maintains correct balances in the sales till, including Credit Card, Checks and Cash.Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Two (2) years of related work experience or an associates degree is required.Must adhere to the university driving and traveling policy and be certified as a forklift operator, or must be willing to become Forklift Certified through USU Training.Must have experience working with customers in a retail environment.Must have experience handling cash.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Skill in organizing and coordinating the work and training of othersAbility to communicate both orally and in writingAbility to apply mathematical skillsAbility to organize work flow to produce the most efficient productivityAbility to interact and communicate well with co-workers, campus customers, and the publicAbility to supervise student employees and volunteersAbility to prioritize work and accomplish tasksRequired DocumentsAlong with the online application, please attach:Resume to be uploaded at the beginning of your application in the Candidate Profile under "Resume/CV"Cover letter to be typed/pasted at the end of your application**Document size may not exceed 10 MB.**Advertised SalaryCommensurate with experience, plus excellent benefitsADAThis position requires considerable physical activity.
