Required Skills:
  • Graduation from an accredited medical assistant training program (CAAHEP, ABHES, or military training)
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants or registration with the American Medical Technologists or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of full-time CMA experience within the last three years, preferably in outpatient family practice or primary care
  • Proficiency in vital signs measurement, medical history documentation, diagnostic procedures, and maintaining examination rooms
  • Ability to accurately perform routine lab and x-ray requisitions and enter demographic data into electronic health records
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and team members
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Familiarity with clinic-specific policies and procedures
  • Additional certifications or training in phlebotomy, ECG, or other diagnostic procedures
  • Bilingual abilities
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program
  • Minimum of one year of recent clinical experience in outpatient or primary care settings
Other Requirements:
  • Full-time availability; scheduled hours are Monday to Friday, 0730 to 1600
  • Must provide two recent letters of recommendation from healthcare providers or supervisors
  • Ability to work effectively in a military healthcare environment
  • RTO requests within the first 90 days must be noted at submission and not exceed 7 days
