We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Engineer with expertise in AWS Quicksight to join our data-driven team. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that empower our business users to make informed decisions. Your deep understanding of AWS Quicksight and its integration with other AWS services will be essential in delivering insightful visualizations and data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Dashboard Development:
o Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports in AWS Quicksight, catering to diverse business needs.
o Utilize advanced Quicksight features like calculated fields, parameters, and custom visuals to create compelling visualizations.
o Ensure dashboards are optimized for performance, usability, and accessibility.
• Data Modeling and ETL:
o Collaborate with data engineers to define and implement data models optimized for Quicksight
visualization.
o Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Quicksight.
o Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency throughout the ETL pipeline.
• Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
o Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytical requirements.
o Translate business requirements into technical specifications for dashboard development.
o Provide technical expertise and guidance to business users on best practices for data visualization and analysis.
• Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting:
o Monitor and optimize dashboard performance to ensure fast and efficient data retrieval and rendering.
o Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data connectivity, dashboard functionality, or user
experience.
• Training and Support:
o Provide training and support to business users on how to effectively use and interpret Quicksight
dashboards.
o Develop and maintain documentation related to dashboard development and data models.
• Stay Current:
o Stay abreast of the latest developments in AWS Quicksight and other relevant technologies.
o Proactively explore and evaluate new features and functionalities to enhance our BI capabilities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree: in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• AWS Quicksight Expertise: Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying dashboards and reports in AWS Quicksight.
• Data Modeling and ETL: Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and experience with ETL tools and processes.
• SQL Proficiency: Excellent SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• AWS Ecosystem: Familiarity with other AWS services like Redshift, S3, Athena, and Glue.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Certificate: Data Brick is preferred
• Experience level: We will prefer 6+ years or above
Preferred Qualifications:
• AWS Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty.
• Experience with BI Tools: Experience with other BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Data Visualization Skills: Expertise in data visualization principles and best practices.
• Python or R: Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and scripting.
