The Court Clerk II performs customer service in person, by telephone, by text messaging, and email in accordance with rules of procedure, state statutes and city ordinances to support the operations of the Court Services' division in the Municipal Court.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvides excellent customer service and general information concerning the court to the public. May include interaction with Prosecution, Defendants, Witnesses, Jurors, and Defense CounselMaintains court record-keeping systems and data integrity that includes heavy data entry input, updating and filing of records and documentsProcesses incoming juvenile and adult municipal and traffic filings, including new violationsSchedules upcoming court hearings in accordance with the court's policies and proceduresReviews and evaluates legal documents, forms, applications, and other information to determine accuracy, completeness, acceptability, or compliance to judicial rules, city ordinances, policies, and proceduresProvides heavy customer assistance including answering questions by phone, email, text messaging, and in person, directing inquiries to appropriate departments, and operates a variety of office equipment and personal computersExplains and provides general information on judicial processes and procedures to court personnel, attorneys, law enforcement agencies, and the general public in person, by telephone, by text messaging, and via emailReceives, processes, and deposits a heavy volume of fines, fees, and related court/filing paymentsBalances daily cash drawer, prepares daily closeout for register and completes all required reports related to receipting of fines, costs and payments receivedConfirms all judicial orders are entered including warrant cancellations and Personal Recognizance bonds.
