Job Description Accounts Payable Specialist (Contract-to-Hire | 32 Hours/Week) ? Pay Range: $22.50-$27.50/hour ? Schedule: 32 hours per week Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a long-standing manufacturer to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity This position offers a flexible 32-hour work week, competitive pay, and the chance to join a stable and supportive organization with a strong reputation for quality and innovation. Position SummaryThe Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting and financial functions, including supplier invoice processing, check processing, maintaining standard costs, inventory management (including physical inventories), and general ledger account reconciliation. Key Responsibilities• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records • Enter all vendor invoices and coordinate necessary approvals • Monitor and resolve past due statements from vendors • Process Visa credit card and employee expense reports • Maintain capital expenditure files and documentation • Prepare and process AP check runs • Support general accounting and filing needs as required • Follow all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment • Perform other accounting duties as assigned Qualifications• Associate's degree (AAS) or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred • Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable or Cost Accounting role • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping • Excellent organizational and communication skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Why You'll Love This Opportunity• Flexible 32-hour work week supporting work-life balance • Contract-to-hire opportunity with a respected, long-standing manufacturer • Collaborative and supportive accounting team environment • Competitive pay range based on experience Ready to take the next step in your accounting career?
