DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Food Service Worker, your areas of work focuses on food preparation, food service, and sanitation. Work is completed in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and in compliance with applicable health and sanitation regulations. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, pans, work surfaces, and other kitchen items; preparing trays; measuring portions; serving food; transporting trays, carts, and nourishment; and using equipment such as mixers, dicers, slicers, knives, and grinders. Your dedication and ambition as a Food Service Worker will enable efficient tray line operations within the center.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, rotating days off, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Previous experience in food production or food service, preferably in an institutional setting such as hospital or nursing home

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
