Job Overview

The Complex Liability Consulting (CLC) practice within Client Advisory offers expert support across a spectrum of mass tort and complex liability issues including insurance archeology policy analysis and mapping electronic database solutions allocation modeling insurer negotiations and claims/payment tracking. We are looking for a skilled consultant to contribute to our team.

Key Responsibilities

The consultant will implement strategic plans to maximize insurance recovery for corporate clients handling mass tort and other highvalue claims. The role requires foundational knowledge of insurance concepts and legal pleadings as well as proficiency in Word and Excel to efficiently track and manage data. This consultant will identify process improvements develop solutions and contribute to optimizing recovery efforts.

Primary Duties
  • Client Service & Communication:

    • Review and document information related to filed claims.
    • Research parent companies and assess the financial solvency of legacy insurers.
    • Draft and dispatch claim notifications and verify receipt by insurers.
    • Review insurer responses noting key issues for senior consultants and clients.
    • Analyze coverage specifics in commercial general and excess liability policies.
    • Organize data on litigation costs across multiple claims.
    • Communicate with clients and insurers regarding coverage claims and litigation costs addressing questions and providing updates.
    • Proactively identify and clarify concerns or unresolved issues.
    • Uphold client confidentiality with the highest standard.
  • Essential Functions:

    • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
    • Employ analytical problemsolving with clear effective verbal and written communication.
    • Conduct thorough online research and demonstrate investigative skills.
    • Work independently within a structured corporate environment adhering to established protocols.
Qualifications
  • Experience:

    • 35 years in relevant roles within a law firm insurer or thirdparty administrator setting.
    • Proven experience managing longterm tort claims especially in complex cases.
    • Handson experience with claims related to Asbestos Toxic Tort Chemicals Medical Devices Pharmaceuticals Pollution Environmental Product and Premises Liabilities.
  • Education:

    • Bachelors degree or equivalent.
