Midsize firm looking for a Commercial Litigation attorney

Litigation and transactional law


Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. As a Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients in various legal proceedings, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing expert advice on litigation matters. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for someone with a strong background in litigation.


Responsibilities:

- Handle all aspects of litigation cases, including but not limited to pleadings, discovery, motions, hearings, trials, and appeals

- Conduct thorough legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw

- Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, answers, motions, briefs, and contracts

- Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations

- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation

- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on litigation matters


Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

- Admitted to practice law in the state where the position is located

- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Litigation Attorney

- Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures related to litigation

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Proficient in conducting legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw

- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide effective solutions

- Strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes for clients

- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
