The role

The Director of Information Technology will manage and direct the company’s information technology (IT) strategy and operations including onsite employees and our 3rd Party Software Support team, ensuring the IT department provides efficient and effective technical support service and protects our company, assets, and investors. We are looking for an IT leader who is able to set strategy and jump into execution.


What you will do

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT systems and department.
  • Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
  • Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergencies or data loss.
  • Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
  • Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
  • Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
  • Implements technology solutions to ensure our site and corporate employees’ success.
  • Defines and documents standard operating procedures.
  • Create a life cycle management plan.
  • Create a budget and financial justification for it, focusing on a balance of fiscal responsibility and forward-thinking strategy and risk mitigation.
  • Cultivates a multi-year technology strategy.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


What you will need

  • Thorough understanding of IT and practical applications to support the company’s goals.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in multi-tasking and balancing multiple goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent understanding of project management.
  • Proficient in Azure.
  • Proficient in Smartsheet.
  • Excellent understanding of cybersecurity processes.
  • Proficient in M365 Suite and related software, including Microsoft Project.
  • Proficient in Adobe licenses.
  • Working knowledge of RealPage is preferred.
  • Proficient in the latest technology for IT systems and management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and management skills.


Education and Experience:

  • Background in Property Management preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science required; master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • At least ten years of experience managing an IT department.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
