Position: Investment Analyst

Position Structure: Full-time

The Endeavor Health Investment Office is headquartered in Evanston, IL and oversees $8+ billion in investment assets, which includes a corporate endowment fund, three pension funds, and several defined contribution programs. The Investment Office works closely with the Board of Directors, Investment Committee and internal management and is committed to being an innovative, top-tier investment team among peers.

As an Investment Analyst, you will work closely with senior members of the Endeavor investment team on investment research within the public and private markets asset classes, which includes but is not limited to traditional long-only global equity, fixed income, hedge funds, real assets and private equity. You will be an integral part of a rapidly growing team that is committed to developing internal talent via close collaboration with the CIO and other investment team members.

What you will need

Education:

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science required, preferably in economics, social sciences, mathematical sciences, engineering, computer science, business or other relevant discipline
• MBA and/or a CFA/CAIA, or progress towards, is a plus but not required

Experience & Skills:

• Most successful candidates will have relevant experience at one or more of the following organizations: hedge fund of funds, endowment/foundation, pension fund, investment management, investment consulting, OCIO or other similar field
• We strongly prefer candidates with at least 2-4 years of investment manager diligence experience
• Ability to independently develop and defend investment recommendations
• Strong knowledge of capital markets
• Strong writing, presentation and communication skills
• Ability to effectively multi-task
• Ability to work well independently and within a team environment
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Adobe Acrobat
• Experience with third-party database/analysis providers such as Morningstar, eVestment, and Preqin a plus

What you will do

• Work closely with senior members of the Endeavor investment team on investment analyses across all public and private asset classes to drive strong portfolio performance
• Assist with the diligence process, or re-underwriting process, that results in the recommendations to add, hold or remove investment managers from the portfolio
• Compile the market mapping, overviews, and assessments of potential investment managers
• Gather and help assess economic, market and investment manager data
• Maintain quantitative and qualitative profiles of investment managers, which includes investment performance, portfolio holdings, investment terms and written assessments
• Assist with the investment operations diligence of investment managers
• Monitor asset class valuations and data for further research into potential new investment strategies and opportunities
• Regularly present investment analyses and recommendations to the broader investment team
• Some travel will be required to assist with investment manager visits and attend investment conferences
