The Sr. Manager will work closely with the Information Management Practice Lead to help manage the team, offerings, business development, and implementation of the diverse set of data and analytic projects Acumen Solutions implements for our customers. This position is based in our headquarters based in the DC Metro Area.Specific DutiesDirect responsibility for overseeing project implementationsDirect responsibility for managing and mentoring team membersAssist in the staffing and assignment of resources based on project needsManage resources and staff workload for their assigned projects; ensure studies are resourced appropriatelyAssist in the development of new solution offerings, including materials, vision, strategy, value, etc.Assist in the business development activities including RFP responses, Proposal creation, estimation, planning, schedules, and State of Work developmentManage, mentor, and evaluate performance of staff, including setting-up goals and objectives, conducting performance evaluations, and providing staff with guidance on technical/project related issuesChampion development and implementation of quality controls and departmental standards to ensure adherence to consistent high quality standardsExhibits proven track record of successfully leading, managing, and delivering data, analytic, and business intelligence projects across enterprise class customersChampions long-term partnerships with multiple vendors across geographical locationsExpert level communicator both internally and externallySuccessfully drives interactions with project teams by clearly communicating requirements around data, timing and budget to ensure successful project executionDraws upon a wide range of negotiation strategies to facilitate cross-functional collaboration with project team leaders that achieves mutually beneficial goalsParticipate in developing, defining, maintaining, and enforcing Data Management standardsEnsure process and standards are being followed and initiate process improvement activities if necessaryParticipate in recruitment process in collaboration with RecruitersParticipate in cross-functional process improvement initiatives and cross-functional project team meetingsQualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant data/analytic disciplineMinimum 10-12 years' experience in data management roles, including at least 5 years of management experience in the consulting industryDemonstrated people management skills in teams with over 10 membersStrong working knowledge of proposal writing/ RFPsExcellent communication skills; ability to work in a team environmentStrong analytical skills demonstrated in a professional services/consulting environmentWorking knowledge of BI/Big DataDemonstrated project management skillsAdditional InformationAcumen Solutions offers the opportunity for growth and advancement, as well as a competitive base salary, annual performance based incentives, medical benefits & 401k.EOE M/F/V/DVEVRAA Federal Contractor
