A diverse client base and broad scope of services provided affords our team opportunities across many different industries, broadening their knowledge and skill sets and helping to make them more well-rounded accountants.Who We Are Looking For: Enrich your college career with some first-hand work experience in the accounting industry ADL is seeking an Accounting Intern to assist with bank reconciliations, monthly financial statements, income tax returns and other special projects.We are offering a paid internship on a part-time basis for the 2023 school-year. The goal of the internship program is to provide the intern with relevant skills and real-life experiences in a variety of accounting and finance functions throughout the firm.As an Accounting Intern at ADL, you will have responsibilities within general financial accounting. There will also be opportunities to assist with payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable processes and projects.Applicants must be accounting majors and have completed their first year of accounting courses. Preferred candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and should have a good eye for detail, the ability to multi-task and excellent communication skills.What You Will Do:Reconcile and balance general ledger accountsPrepare journal entries and cash receiptsReview and monitor daily activityReview agreements and their applicability to assigned general ledger accountsResearch and correct account discrepanciesPerform month-end closings and review financials for variancesAdditional duties as assignedRequirements:Currently enrolled in a college accounting curriculum, Accounting major preferredAbility to manage multiple tasks and work independently and on a teamWillingness to learn and highly motivated to succeedAttention to detailStrong computer and software skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWork Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States of America. This is a remote position.
