The Bilingual Spanish HR Generalist will function as a partner and trusted resource for managers and be a catalyst in delivering HR solutions to support the specific needs of the business and overall business objectives. This position performs a wide variety of activities balancing strategic projects and day to day tactical work.


HR Administration:

  • Ensure the company complies with all relevant employment laws and regulations, including those related to equal employment opportunity, wage, and hour laws, LOAs, workplace safety, and labor relations.
  • Maintaining employee records, managing payroll, and benefits administration, processing employee changes (e.g. promotions, transfers, terminations), process workers compensation claims, LOAs, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Provide support to management in the areas of: performance management, compensation management, succession planning, training and development.
  • Assist with recruitment as needed. Assist with pre-screening requirements, background check, reference checks, prepare offer letters, etc.

Employee Relations:

  • Assist in creating and implementing HR programs and services that are aligned with corporate culture, as
  • well as corporate HR and business strategies.
  • Assist in investigating and resolving employee relations issues and assist with disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Investigate accident reports and assist in resolution.

New Hire Onboarding & Training:

  • Process new hire paperwork and onboard new hires.
  • Employee handbook updates and employee manual overview.
  • Safety procedures training and execution.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Employee compensation administration, timecard auditing/processing, and payroll management.
  • Benefits onboarding and administration.
  • 401K administration and may assist with monthly benefit invoices.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Champion safety in the workplace initiatives; assists with the development of safety programs.
  • Provides and maintains training to stay up-to-date.
  • Manage worker’s compensation claims, maintain tracking report, and respond to clinic and adjuster
  • inquires.

Employee Development and Training:

  • Provide training and development as needed for employee skills enhancement.
  • Employee Engagement & Retention:
  • Develops and implements strategies to promote employee engagement, morale, and retention.

Legal Compliance:

  • Ensures the company complies with all relevant employment laws and regulations, including those related to equal employment opportunity, wage and hour laws, workplace safety, and labor relations.

SOFTWARE

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Seeking a minimum of 5 years of human resources generalist experience in: Employee Relations, Benefits Administration, Safety Coordination, Worker’s Compensation, LOAs, Onboarding, Timecard Auditing for
  • Payroll Processing, and Performance Management
  • Bilingual Spanish required
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Construction industry experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Organization and prioritization skills
  • Time Management skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and handle confidential information
  • Ability to be detail oriented
  • Manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to train others
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
  • Must be self-directed and motivated to be able to execute
  • Must have a high level of integrity and be reliable
