Nature of Work

The Environmental Resources Analyst will gather information and data from all the divisions within Office of Environmental Health Services (OEHS) to have the information to work directly with each OEHS division for data entry into the any of the OEHS databases.

This position will:

  • Develop internal program policies and procedures and establish strategic standards, goals and objectives for incorporation in the OEHS databases.
  • Assist OEHS staff with formatting reports to meet necessary data to meet state and federal requirements for Grant reporting.
  • Assist OEHS staff for formatting data reports to inform leadership or others related to high priority projects and implementation of state and federal initiatives.
  • Format reports that are used for routine purposes and set these reports on an agreed upon schedule.
  • Train all new and existing OEHS staff on OEHS database systems.
  • Assist OEHS staff with issues resolution related to database entry.
  • Provide backup assistance to the PHS Division for the EH Cloud local health department database.
  • Assist and serve as a technical expert and as a resource with the OEHS database reporting for Public Health Emergencies.


Minimum Qualifications

Training: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.

OR

Substitution: Additional experience as described below may substitute for the required training at a rate of one (1) year of experience for every fifteen (15) semester hours of graduate training and/or every thirty (30) semester hours of undergraduate training.

AND

Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience in the specialty area.
