New Grads Welcome Great opportunity for a Nuclear Medicine tech to sit for the NMTCB(CT) boards, as a student, enrolled with College of Health Professions. Rotating schedule - 8-hour day. Occasional overtime. No weekends or call. Location: Syracuse, NY. Great working environment in a PET/CT and SPECT/CT outpatient department at Specialty Services Center. Private office with M-F rotating schedule between the hours of 6am and 5pm. Benefits package includes: Health, dental and vision insurance, eligibility for employer 401k funding after 1 year (3% quarterly/5% annual on vesting schedule), and generous paid time off, including vacation and personal time, paid sick leave, holidays and floating holidays. Job Summary: Performs all duties with hybrid imaging in a PET/CT and SPECT/CT outpatient department Calculates, orders, administers and records radioactive isotopes Instructs patients on proper exam preparations Verify physician orders for procedures as well as properly identifying patient. Performs all required quality control procedures Maintains compliance with continuing education requirements Minimum Qualifications: CNMT or ARRT(N) and NYS DOH (Nuclear Medicine) License, current CPR certification. NO PET experience necessary, will train. Preferred Qualifications: NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(CT) About the region: Syracuse is close to Onondaga Lake with unique shops, spectacular restaurants, lovely lakeshore trails. Near the largest state fair, the New York State Fair and many well known universities and colleges. Explore a world of art, theater, music, photography, history, nature and play in Rochester, New York. From standing in the parlor where Susan B. Anthony was arrested to listening to great jazz on the streets. Rochester is located on the Southern shore of Lake Ontario and sits at the center of the historic Erie Canal. Only a 90 minute drive to Niagara Falls, 1.5 hours to the Finger Lakes wine country and 6 hours to New York City.
