Accounts Payable SpecialistWe are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a leading manufacturing company in St. Gabriel, Louisiana. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment, offering the chance to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. In this role, you will play a key part in managing accounts payable operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of transactions.Responsibilities:Handle administrative and clerical tasks for the Accounts Payable and Finance Department.Perform daily accounts payable processes with precision and adherence to company policies.Deliver exceptional customer service to internal business partners and external stakeholders.Support internal and external audit activities by providing necessary documentation and assistance.Manage incoming department mail by sorting, opening, and distributing it efficiently.Organize and maintain records by sorting, logging, photocopying, and filing invoices, checks, and other financial documents.Verify and process checks, including expediting special handling when required.Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial systems such as SAP.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of working with technical and financial teams.Familiarity with accounts payable processes, including account coding and invoice management.Knowledge of payment methods such as ACH and check runs.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
