Accounts Payable SpecialistWe are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team in St. Paul, Minnesota. This is a contract position offering a flexible 32-hour, 4-day workweek. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining efficient processes within a collaborative team environment.Responsibilities:Process vendor invoices promptly, including performing three-way matching for inventory purchases.Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure account accuracy and resolve discrepancies.Handle vendor credits by matching returns to corresponding credit memos.Apply customer payments accurately to their accounts and maintain up-to-date records.Respond to inquiries from customers and vendors, providing clear and timely information.Evaluate open purchase orders and take necessary actions to close them efficiently.Collaborate with an eight-person team responsible for accounts payable and receivable for a multi-location organization.Ensure consistent adherence to established financial processes and procedures.*Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment. Please submit your resume.Requirements:Proven experience as an accounts payable specialist is required.Familiarity with accounts receivable processes is preferred but not mandatory.Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.Proficiency in following structured processes to achieve consistent results.Expertise in using accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas.Knowledge of account coding and general accounting functions.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
