This role will work directly in a highly charged and fast-paced environment as a main point of contact. This position will be working in the highest technical level of all phases of the application programing.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Acts as a project member in the design and installation of database applications. Ensures appropriate linkages to existing databases and data processing systems
  • Programming activities including mockup and prototype designs, testing and documentation creation
  • Estimation efforts on client-based task.
  • Responsible for the monitoring and security of the portal.
  • Build detailed outlines of work lines, identifying issues, and additional issues during the POP.
  • Being the main POC for the COR.
  • Ensures appropriate linkages to existing databases and data processing systems.
  • Provides technical expertise on database systems to user and data processing personnel. Perform database implementation and database tuning.
  • Controls the global view of databases, the access to the databases, assures the safekeeping of the databases (from accidental or intentional damage or loss), and monitors the use of databases
  • Lead and/or facilitate meetings and working groups geared toward the development of Database solutions that address the needs of stakeholders across the client space, including military and civilian workforces.
  • Conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data to provide informed guidance/recommendations for Database and web development, related to organizational strategy and project/program management.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with senior personnel, including Flag Officers, while having the ability to provide coaching to senior leadership and/or client personnel.
  • Provide support to senior clients in the management of project timelines and risk identification for multiple initiatives across the directorates as they relate to strategic planning, change management, business transformation, and communications.
  • Facilitate client meetings and exercises to understand and document full scope of deliverable requirements.


Requirements:

  • Must have at least 10 years’ experience in database application; bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree a plus.
  • Industry-related Certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Database Administrator or Azure Database Administrator
  • Extensive and developing and administering SQL Server database environments (optimization/tuning/backup/recovery).
  • Extensive knowledge of C#, SQL, JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) and the most up to date standards.
  • Experience maintaining logical data model and physical data models using tools like ERWin Data Modeler) and associated interface control documents.
  • Experience with Microsoft PerformancePoint, SQL Server Reporting Services, and Qdabra DBXL, Excel Services, and PowerPivot.
  • Experience developing and maintaining extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes
  • Experience in data administration, data analysis, data rationalization, data modeling, metadata repository, and data conversion.
  • Candidate must be coachable, resourceful and can work effectively independently and in large team settings to include close collaboration with senior clients and program managers.
  • Experience directly managing projects and deadlines.
  • Experience leading the planning and development of key strategic messaging, communications or talking points.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in communicating and customizing messaging that is easily understood by diverse stakeholder audiences and business units.
  • DHS experience and active DHS EOD preferred
