Established in 1967, they serve Fortune 500 corporations, government entities, and selected OEMs across various industries such as Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturing, Medical and Life Sciences, Aerospace and Defense, Industrial, Electronics, and Energy. The company's headquarters are in Valencia, CA, with manufacturing facilities spread across Northern and Southern California.
Hours: 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
Days: Sunday night through Thursday night with possible OT hours during the week and weekends
Job Title: CNC Programmer 1 3 Axis
Pay: $21 - $24 plus a 14.3% shift differential
Status: Direct Hire
Location: Valencia, CA
What you’ll be doing:
- Create 3 axis CAD/CAM programs and process files from DXF and PDF files
- Save programs from job transfer files to appropriate job files
- Set up machine and produce parts
- Evaluate, create, and utilize tool library according to materials
- Provide technical assistance
- Conduct technical training
- Observe, evaluate, and correct operator work for conformance
- Participate in 5S and Lean/CI activities
This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR (generally meaning (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, as specified under applicable law).
Typical Duties:
- Set up and run job orders according to the program and process files
- Measure and record products or materials to control quality
- Train CNC Operators/Programmers
- Create process files
- Collaborate with the Engineering group
- Maintain machine operation and detect problems as they occur
- Apply Procedures and Work Instructions
- Support safety procedures and safe practices
- Report process or equipment deficiencies
- Assist supervisor with section personnel and work-center operations
- Clean equipment or machinery
Required Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Skills:
- Multi-tasking, digital cutters, CO2 lasers, hybrid lasers, mills
- Some college experience is a plus
- Phone etiquette

- GD&T experience/training
- NC CAM experience
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED or five (5) years’ work experience
Experience Requirements:
- One year of 3-axis CNC programming through school and/or OJT
- Two years of 3-axis CNC operator experience in a manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements:
- Requires using hands to handle tools or controls
- Requires repetitive movement
- Must have vision (with or without assistance) capable of seeing small objects at a close distance
- Requires prolonged standing/sitting
- Requires lifting up to 25 lbs.
Working Conditions:
- Working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
- A cleanroom environment requires wearing smocks, hairnets, shoe-covers, and gloves; may reach temperatures as low as 66F
- Safety-toed shoes and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as needed
