Finance Manager

Manager of Field FinanceManager of Field Finance reports directly to the Finance Director Central Region and is responsible for supporting the Customer Logistics Director (DCL). This role provides financial analysis and support for the monthly close process, annual business plan, and new business opportunities for the Central Operations team. This position will support our Dedicated Transportation business segment.Essential Functions:Month-End ClosingForecasting and budget developmentResearch and provide explanations of variances vs. forecast / budget / prior year and ensure billing opportunities are capturedSarbanes-Oxley Compliance: Ensure adequate controls are in place to drive Sarbanes-Oxley compliance around revenue recognition procedures and contractual terms that could create financial exposureWork with the Field Finance Director to translate, communicate and implement corporate financial policies, guidelines, procedures, and controlsOversee the collection of accounts receivableSupport analysis of proposed new business including pricing, optimizing the deal structure, development of customer proposals and subsequent negotiationProvide detailed budget tracking for new business startupsAdditional Responsibilities:Performs other duties as assignedSkills and Abilities:Advanced knowledge of financial concepts and principles, including but not limited to income statement, cash flow, balance sheet, depreciation, tax reportingProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel- advanced level preferredAbility to manage conflicting deadlines and multi-task in a demanding environmentGood verbal and written communication skillsStrong planning and organizational skillsQualifications:Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance or related fieldMaster's degree/MBA preferredSeven (7) years or more Accounting and/or Finance experience requiredTransportation, Logistics, or equivalent industry experience preferredJob Category: Financial AnalysisCompensation Information: The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
