We seek a highly skilled Total Rewards Director to lead our comprehensive compensation and benefits programs. This role is pivotal in managing strategic initiatives and day-to-day administrative tasks, ensuring our compensation and benefits offerings are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our organizational goals. GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Strategic Design and Oversight – Lead the design, evaluation, and management of employee benefit and compensation plans to ensure they are competitive, cost-effective, and meet employee needs.
  • Compensation Management – Handle daily administrative tasks such as processing payroll adjustments, administering salary grades, and managing incentive payout structures. Administer compensation policies and guidelines, perform market pricing analysis, manage merit pay, and performance/incentive awards, ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Management – Build and maintain relationships with service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure service delivery meets organizational standards.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Oversight – Manage compliance with all relevant regulations and handle the administrative aspects of compliance reporting and documentation.
  • Employee Education and Advocacy – Develop and distribute communication materials about benefits and compensation changes, address employee queries, and resolve issues related to total rewards.
  • Data Analysis and Program Evaluation – Conduct detailed data analysis for benefits and compensation, participate in surveys, and provide insights to guide strategic decisions.
  • Project Management and Administrative Support – Engage in compensation-related project planning such as alternative reward designs and incentive program implementation. Manage administrative tasks associated with these projects, including documentation and communication.
  • Partnership with Finance – Collaborate closely with the Finance department on all compensation-related aspects of business planning and budgeting to ensure alignment with financial strategies and organizational objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement – Regularly update and refine operational procedures and documentation processes to improve total rewards management efficiency and employee satisfaction.
  • Proactive Communication and Collaboration – Cultivate a proactive and transparent communication style, ensuring information flow across all levels of the organization. Act as a compassionate and approachable resource for employees, reinforcing our commitment to an open and supportive communication culture. Facilitate training sessions and workshops that empower employees to understand and make the most of their payroll and benefits offerings.


KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Human Services, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CCP, CEBS, SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in compensation and benefits, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive experience in managing both benefits and compensation functions, with a strong focus on strategic planning, compliance, and administrative management.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and data management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Experience in HRIS, compensation/benefits management software, and data management.
