This position is in the Communications Department and works closely with our Customer Relations Manager and our Communications Director. Our Communications Department's biggest goal is to create positive experiences for everyone who sets foot into Pacific Edge, members and staff alike. The member services team is key creating long lasting positive experiences for our current members by making sure they feel respected, valued, and heard. Qualified candidates must be available on some weekday evenings from 3pm - 8pm, as well as Saturdays from 8am - 2pm. Minimum availability of two days per week for at least 2-hour shifts required. While our scheduling can be flexible with proper notice, we are looking for candidates who have consistent availability.

MON 3-8pm
TUE 3-8pm

WED 2:30-8pm
THU 10:15am-1:30pm, 3-8pm
FRI 3-8pm
SAT 8:15am-1:30pm (1:30-9pm for events)

SUN - CLOSED

The bolded times are the shifts we are in most need of hiring for.

Daily tasks include but are not limited to:
  • Communicating accurate information in a timely manner to our members
  • Receiving and responding to incoming calls and emails
  • Greeting and assisting in-person customers
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Supporting continuity among our programs by documenting and communicating customer concerns and potential opportunities for the gym
Desired Skills & Characteristics:
  • 1+ years of customer service (preferred not required)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an approachable personality
  • Ability to make and answer phone calls
  • Ability to maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times even in high stress situations
  • Ability to work accurately, efficiently, and calmly while under pressure
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Detail oriented with well-developed productivity skills

Salary Range: $16.00 to $24.00 per hour (depending on industry experience)
