Position Overview: The Senior Project Engineer will play a crucial role in the successful execution of mechanical projects, collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and cross-functional teams. This position requires a proactive problem solver with extensive technical expertise and a strong commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from design through to completion.
  • Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers to establish project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, assess risks, and resolve engineering-related issues.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to communicate project updates and address concerns.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and team members.
  • Support the procurement process by evaluating vendor proposals and ensuring quality standards are met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in project engineering, preferably in mechanical contracting or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and design principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and Microsoft Office Suite.
