The Treasury Management Customer Service Representative (TMR) is a critical role focused on delivering exceptional customer service to our business clients who utilize Treasury Management Services. This telephone-based position requires you to be on calls for up to eight hours a day, responding to and resolving a wide array of customer inquiries related to complex financial products and services. The role demands a high level of technology proficiency, as you will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that customers may encounter with their Treasury Management services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Support: Independently respond to and resolve customer issues quickly and creatively while maintaining high-quality standards. This includes handling inquiries via phone, email, and internal chat in a professional and timely manner.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Utilize your technology savvy to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Treasury Management products/services such as ACH payments, wire transfers, system lockouts, and file uploads.
  • Customer Interaction: Manage incoming calls from over 12,000 Treasury Management customers, providing guidance on navigating the system, resolving issues, and answering product-related questions.
  • High-Level Communication: Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with national and international clients, including those in Canada, Mexico, Asia, and other global markets.
  • Product Knowledge: Respond to inquiries related to sophisticated Treasury Management products/services, including the Comerica portal, mainframe/internet transmissions, and related software/hardware.
  • Customer Training: Provide basic training to customers on product functionality, new services, and features, ensuring they are fully equipped to use their Treasury Management tools effectively.
  • Fraud Prevention: Recognize and escalate potential fraud or high-risk situations, adhering to strict customer identity verification procedures.
  • Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities for cross-selling or up-selling products and services, contributing to the company’s revenue stream.
  • Account Management: Participate in balancing general ledger accounts, understanding debits and credits, and managing other financial tasks.
  • Project Participation: Engage in projects such as outbound calling campaigns, system migrations, and operational improvements.

Position Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Experience:
  • 4 years of customer service experience.
  • 3 years of experience in retail, financial sales, or call/contact center environments.
  • 4 years of experience with Microsoft Outlook, data entry, and internet search.
  • Technology Proficiency: Must be technology-savvy with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to sophisticated Treasury Management products and services.
