Accounts Receivable Specialist

Accounts Receivable SpecialistWe are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and processing invoices, monitoring aging reports, and actively pursuing collections on customer accounts. This role requires a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.Responsibilities:Review and process invoices for customers ensuring accuracy and completeness.Monitor aging reports to identify overdue accounts and follow up with customers for payment.Actively pursue collections on customer accounts.Reconcile discrepancies between payments received and outstanding balances.Process customer credit applications.Accurately post payments to customer accounts.Investigate and resolve payment disputes or discrepancies.Send customer statements monthly.Maintain customer deposits and perform reconciliations with credit card accounts.Maintain customer sales tax exemptions in Avalara.Understand the accounts payable process and assist when needed.Essential Skills:Proficiency in accounting and accounts receivable.Experience with collections accounts receivable.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or related role.Excellent organization and time management skills.Strong attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent numerical and analytical skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Experience with Sage 100 ERP software is a plus.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.Work Environment:The position is based onsite within an office setting, offering a professional and structured environment.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Memphis, AR.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
