We will need someone who is very strong with Power BI, prior experience in SSRS, DAX, and also best practices in Power BI.



Role Details:



Job Summary: The Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to gather requirements, creating data models, and developing interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, experience in data analysis, and a deep understanding of Power BI's capabilities and best practices.


Key Responsibilities:

Report and Dashboard Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business requirements.
  • Utilize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to create complex measures, calculations, and queries.
  • Apply best practices in data visualization to ensure clarity, usability, and aesthetics.

Data Modeling:

  • Create and maintain efficient and scalable data models using Power BI.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL databases, Excel, and cloud services.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reports and dashboards.

Data Transformation:

  • Use Power Query to clean, transform, and load data into Power BI.
  • Implement and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to support data integration.

Collaboration and Requirement Gathering:

  • Work closely with business users and stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications for BI solutions.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and functionalities.

Performance Optimization:

  • Optimize Power BI dashboards and reports for performance and efficiency.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data refresh issues, performance bottlenecks, and other technical problems.

Documentation and Maintenance:

  • Create and maintain documentation for Power BI solutions, including data models, processes, and user guides.
  • Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role in BI development.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and data visualization.
  • Experience with SQL databases and writing SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
