Technical Writer (Battery/Renewables) - Fremont, CA


I am working with an established startup that has raised over $100million and have expanded their operations across the USA. They have been working on a state-of-the-art product that is leading the industry within the energy sector so it would be a great time to join their team at their global HQ in Fremont, CA.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the Product Engineering team to obtain an understanding for the Battery Technology they are creating which includes BMS, Racking and Thermal Management
  • Produce high quality technical documentation that is appropriate for the intended audience
  • Prepare installation manuals and instructions for the customer
  • Manage document control for both external and internal facing documents
  • Update and improve existing technical documentation


Essential Skills:

  • 3+ Years experience writing technical documentation
  • Able to deliver highly technical documentation, paying attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to understand complexed engineering information and be able to make it understandable to a non-technical customer


Preferred Skills:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred but not essential
  • Experience with Project Management tools (Propel PLM or Asana)
  • Familiarity with UL/CE certifications
