Buyer PositionA respected and established organization is seeking a diligent Buyer to support on a long-term contract basis. This role is excellent for those with foundational SAP or similar ERP experience who are passionate about purchasing and inventory management. You will play a key role in supporting seamless operations and helping meet customer requirements.Key Responsibilities:Manage planning variables such as safety stock, order quantities, lead times, and forecasts for assigned materials to help fulfill customer demands.Investigate and resolve invoice issues related to purchase orders promptly.Regularly review Material Requirements Planning (MRP) messages to release purchase and/or work orders as needed.Obtain supplier quotes and assist in pricing negotiations.Follow up on inventory adjustments and discrepancies, communicating any impacts to production and planning teams.Assign and review appropriate due dates for orders, coordinating with internal teams as needed.Maintain effective and timely communication with both internal and external contacts, including suppliers and cross-functional groups.Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, focusing on Supply Chain interests as part of the Product Development Team.Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.Requirements:13 years of relevant experienceHands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systemsBackground or exposure to purchasing and/or category planningStrong Microsoft Excel skills (including data visualization, lookups, pivot tables, charting, SUMIFS)Highly organized with excellent communication skills
