Mesa, United States ADC Wastewater Engineering Full time

Do you want to develop your engineering skills in an environment where things move quickly, and internal bureaucracy is a foreign concept?

Would you like to be part of a team that runs fast, lean, and is incredibly selective about the clients and projects they take on?

We're a different kind of engineering firm, one that's a bit irreverent, and we love getting things done. We're not just looking to fill seats. We believe in growing our firm out of opportunity, not necessity. We're looking for someone who will fit well with our culture and share our passion for helping our clients win.

As an experienced EIT or Junior PE with our team, you'll hone your skills and develop your career collaborating directly with our senior engineers. You’ll assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities that meet or exceed regulatory requirements and environmental standards while prioritizing client goals and concerns. You'll work collaboratively with the other team members of our tight-knit group to optimize water and wastewater treatment processes and systems to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs. You’ll bring your fresh ideas to the table while taking full advantage of the mentoring provided by our senior team.

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced EIT or recently licensed PE to join our team. Someone passionate about making a difference in the world through their work, who isn't afraid to take risks, challenge the status quo, or push the limits of what's possible. Someone driven to succeed with a track record of delivering results.

With ADC, you’ll get to:

  • Assist in the design and development of water and wastewater treatment facilities, including treatment processes, equipment selection, and system layout.
  • Manage a variety of projects from start to finish to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Evaluate the feasibility of proposed projects, including research and data collection, and civil design aspects like site grading and drainage considerations.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with outside consultants to ensure our systems integrate with other infrastructure components (pipelines, pumps, control systems, etc.).
  • Perform inspections, monitoring of treatment processes, and sample collection in support of wastewater treatment and dispersal operations.
  • Support the startup and operation of water and wastewater treatment systems, help troubleshoot operational issues, and have your voice heard when you suggest solutions.
  • Help generate project proposals, cost estimates, and construction schedules.
  • Use Autodesk Civil 3D to produce high-quality plans that meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.

We’re looking for:

  • Minimum 2-years’ experience as an EIT.
  • EIT certification (at a minimum) is required, or a recently licensed PE .
  • Bachelor's Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and processes related to water and wastewater treatment.
  • Familiarity with engineering software and tools: AutoCAD, Civil3D, GIS, hydraulic modeling software, etc.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and problem solve both independently and collaboratively with our teams.
  • Interest in being actively involved in on-site analysis, where you’ll assess project conditions, identify potential issues, and develop practical solutions. Ability to assist in bridging the gap between design and execution, ensuring that our projects are not only well-designed on paper but also perform flawlessly in the real world.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and work in various weather conditions.

What you can count on us for:

  • Flexibility of in-office or hybrid remote working conditions.
  • Competitive and flexible compensation packages that focus on your specific needs and wants.
  • Full support of your career growth and helping you get there in your own style.
  • A wealth of opportunities to be mentored by a seasoned staff with significant depth and breadth of knowledge from design through operations.
  • Fostering an environment where your insights and perspectives are not just welcomed but actively encouraged.
  • High value placed on fresh approaches and inventive solutions that you bring to the table, with an openness to integrating your ideas into our processes and project designs.

If you're looking for a new challenge and want to be part of a team that's committed to changing the paradigm of how engineering gets done, we want to hear from you Email your resume and brief cover letter (max one page) today to office@adcwastewater.com, and let's get started.
