Our client is seeking a Senior Operations Administrator to join their team. This role involves managing investment accounts and ensuring accurate reflection of all trading and cash transaction activities across various innovative investment strategies, including alternatives, multi-asset, convertible, fixed income, and equity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain investment accounts within the portfolio accounting and trading systems, including account opening and closing, handling client-specific requests, and securing appropriate documentation.
- Ensure that all trading and cash transaction activity is accurately reflected in the portfolio accounting and trading systems. Resolve any cash and/or trade discrepancies in a timely manner and communicate as necessary.
- Address and coordinate timely responses for any operational-related inquiries from both internal and external parties.
- Review and monitor team responsibilities daily and work closely with Administrators to reallocate tasks within the team when needed.
- Assist the Supervisor with additional department responsibilities, which may include collateral management, reporting, client invoicing, audits, and global market opening/maintenance.
- Assist with department processes and identify areas of improvement to mitigate overall risk to the firm.
- Maintain current and detailed desk procedures.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related discipline preferred.
- At least 5 years of previous financial industry experience.
- Knowledge of various asset classes (e.g., fixed income, options, and alternatives).
- Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with the ability to develop innovative solutions to problems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple initiatives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Windows-based applications.
