Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic SeniorAccount Manager, Gov't Contractsto lead our efforts in selling products and services to government entities and public safety agencies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving sales growth, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and navigating complex procurement processes within the government and public safety sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets within the government and public safety verticals.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with decision-makers and influencers in government agencies, including federal, state, and local levels, as well as public safety organizations such as police, fire, and emergency services.
  • Position MIRA Safety within local, state, and federal Public Safety agencies to evangelize, contract, and support commercial relationships.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to align sales efforts with market needs and customer feedback.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive land scape affecting government and public safety markets and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to negotiation and contract closure, ensuring timely and accurate forecasting and reporting of sales activities.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products and services, effectively communicating value propositions and solutions tailored to the unique needs of government and public safety customers.
  • Monitor government bid sites for commercial opportunities; participate in government tenders by submitting direct bidding documents; support our partner channel to participate in similar tender events.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, building brand awareness and fostering new business opportunities.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience selling to government agencies and public safety organizations.
  • Experience with government procurement processes, contracting mechanisms, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales productivity tools to manage pipeline, track performance metrics, and generate actionable insights.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend meetings, and participate in industry events.
  • Existing relationships with decision makers in the Department of Defense, FEMA, military contractors, state and local police departments, fire departments, and or first responders.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a college degree.

The Director of Sales for Government and Public Safety Agencies plays a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding market share within these key verticals. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a results-driven sales leader to make a significant impact and contribute to the success of our organization.
