Ultrasound Technologists perform diagnostic imaging using ultrasound technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and explain ultrasound procedures.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture images of internal organs.
- Analyze images and report findings to physicians.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of ultrasound machines.
- Educate patients on the ultrasound process and address concerns.
Requirements
- Associates or bachelors degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- Certification from ARRT or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
