Department and Role Overview:

Join our dedicated team as a Consumer Refund & Fraud Mitigation Analyst, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our refund and fraud mitigation processes. This role involves managing consumer refunds, identifying potential fraud, and ensuring our customers receive the exceptional service they expect.

  • Schedule: Monday - Thursday on-site, Fridays remotely.
  • Pay Rate: $24 - 27/hourly


Key Responsibilities:

  • Refund Management: Oversee and ensure the accuracy of consumer refunds, handling cases where repairs could not be made.
  • Fraud Detection: Act as the final oversight for refund cases, identifying and addressing instances of potential customer fraud.
  • Data Analysis: Use advanced Excel skills to compare and analyze data sets, ensuring accurate payments.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide high-quality customer service, ensuring all refund and fraud concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Collaboration: Work with security, compliance, and other internal teams to investigate and resolve flagged issues.
  • Reporting: Document findings and report any alarming trends or schemes to leadership.


Key Points and Attributes:

  • Experience: Prior experience in finance, quality assurance, policy compliance, and/or customer service.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with sales or service operations of electronic goods manufacturers and sellers.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and time management skills. Proficiency in Excel (formulas and calculations) is essential.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks based on risk and internal KPI requirements.
  • Documentation: Ability to accurately document and record all related information.


Skills & Tools:

  • Top 3 Skills:
  • Technical: Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, particularly Excel formulas and calculations.
  • Functional: Background in accounting/finance.
  • Professional: Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset.


Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of related experience; or
  • High School diploma or GED and 3-5 years of related experience.
