As part of the Ground Software Engineering team you will be integral to developing the ground system software for commanding and controlling the on-orbit servicing solutions that will deliver our vision of a sustainable space environment.Job DescriptionContribute to and own elements of the design, implementation, deployment and maintenance of all ground system software for Astroscale U.S. programs.Design and build software for deployment in cloud-hosted, on-prem and hybrid environments.Rapidly prototype software and infrastructure to prove out design concepts.Work in a full-stack capacity across back-end and front-end specialties.Work iteratively with Flight Software, Test Software, Guidance Navigation & Control (GNC), and other internal teams to achieve program goals ahead of schedule.Embody a culture of innovation, technical excellence, continuous improvement and customer focus.QualificationsExperience with Git, bash, Python, Docker and LinuxExperience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure)Experience with database selection and managementFamiliarity with front-end technologies and design patternsCollaborative communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a teamPassion for building next-generation space-sustainability technologyBachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field, with 2+ years of professional software development experience, including with Rust, C++ or JavaAdditional InformationIf you’re passionate about our mission and believe you’d be an outstanding addition to our team, don’t worry about checking every single box—or having a background solely in aerospace or defense.
