POSITION SUMMARY:


  • Under the direction of the Procurement Manager, the Junior Procurement Specialist will support the procurement functions of the organization.
  • The work involves collaboration with account managers, production operations and multiple vendors.
  • The position is responsible for the procurement of goods and/or services at a competitive rate and suitable quality.


DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for administrative tasks related to material procurement, including, but not limited to, data entry, use of an order submission portal to create and distribute jobs for bid, inventory tracking, and pricing evaluation.
  • Responds to requests, inquires and complaints in both oral and written form with a high level of professionalism;
  • Attends and actively participates in daily meetings with internal customers.
  • Confers with internal teams to determine pertinent facts about items needed and their requirements, will provide advice on item availability or suggest substitutes.
  • Coordinated bids with external partners for inventory replenishment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, including the ability to convey subjects in a clear, concise and positive manner.
  • Daily scheduling and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and Google products.
  • Superior interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with senior level administration and teammates during periods of high demand and tight deadlines; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Ability to think analytically and problem solve to assess opportunities for improvement, identify and consider potential solutions, and make timely recommendations.
  • Knowledge of print, paper substrates and envelope production highly desired.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:


  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in any of the following fields: business, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management required.
  • In lieu of an Associate’s degree, a high school diploma supplemented by a minimum of three (3) years of increasingly responsible professional experience directly related to procurement may be considered.

Pay Disclosure

"The pay range for this position starts at $21.50; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.”
