SUMMARY:

The Compensation, Benefits and HRIS Manager oversees all our compensation and benefit programs. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple objectives and be able to set priorities, develop strategy, and carry out tactics effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and being comfortable communicating with all levels in the organization is a must. Strong analytics and problem-solving skill sets are essential to this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Play a leadership role in the design, management, and administration of Crenlo’s compensation and benefit programs.
  • Design and develop the human resources infrastructure: job descriptions, job grades, salary bands, market pricing, annual merit process, promotional increases, open enrollment, and HRIS feeds.
  • Administer employee insurance programs including life, disability, and health insurance plans.
  • Administer employee savings plans that may include the company’s 401(k) plan, personal savings plans, and deferred compensation programs.
  • Monitor competitive wage rates to develop or modify compensation plans in system
  • Oversee the distribution of pay and benefits information to the organization's employees.
  • Advise and inform employees of changes and developments related to benefits including eligibility, coverage, and provisions.
  • Identify and select carriers and plans based on quotes, available benefits, and prior experience.
  • Conduct employee surveys, census, and other research and demographic efforts required to collect accurate quotes from benefit providers.
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive communication strategy for compensation and benefit programs and identifying opportunities to better enable the company to improve employee engagement, facilitate proactive and effective messaging and cadence as well as support the company's growth and strategic plan
  • Monitors administrators’ and insurance carriers’ reports to ensure the organization’s compliance with plan requirements.
  • Facilitate accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators, or other appropriate service providers.
  • Ensures the organization and plans’ compliance with the applicable provisions of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
  • Complete all documentation, record keeping, reporting required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Maintain knowledge of economic conditions, labor market, and other factors related to ensuring the organization provides competitive and reasonable benefits and compensation scales and structures.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in compensation and benefits administration.
  • Oversees and maintains optimal function of the organization’s internal HRIS, which may include upgrades to applications, systems, and modules.
  • Serves as lead representative and liaison between HR, Information Services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HR database design and implementation projects.
  • Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users.
  • Support the HR teams at each company site
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and compensation required
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA laws and requirements.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field required
  • Five years plus experience administering compensation or benefits programs required
  • MBA is a plus
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is a plus
