About the Position :
Incumbents in this position, under the direction of an assigned manager, plans, implements, administers, and evaluates the delivery of a variety of the Health Services Agency's programs and services as assigned. They provide clinical and/or administrative supervision of subordinate staff, assuring that effective and appropriate care is provided. This position also advises and collaborates with other staff and interdisciplinary treatment teams in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Examples of Duties
- Within scope of practice, supervises, monitors and evaluates the daily clinical work of assigned staff and interdisciplinary teams.
- Develops, recommends, and implements Division policies and procedures and work standards.
- Develops and provides training to staff on professional responsibilities, technical skills, quality of care, and scope of practice.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Licenses
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. An Associate's degree in Nursing with a Master's degree in a health related field may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Two (2) years of professional nursing experience in a public or private setting. One (1) year of supervisory experience is desirable.
- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Requires a valid California driver's license
- Requires a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of California
- Must complete periodic continuing education coursework as required to maintain active licensure
- Current CPR certification
- Must possess, or be willing to obtain, National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Must not be excluded from participation in any federally funded health care program including, without limitation, Medicare or Medi-Cal.
Recruitment Information
The department is recruiting for multiple vacancies.
In addition, Tehama County is establishing an eligibility list to fill current vacancies for a Licensed Clinical Nurse Supervisor or Supervising Public Health Nurse (see separate recruitment), as well as subsequent vacancies which occur during the life of the eligibility list.
Testing Dates:
February 14-18, 2025. Testing will be provided via email.

*Rates listed in this flyer represent a full-time employee's accrual rate and health insurance premium rate. Part-time employees will have pro-rated accruals and health insurance premium rates based on the number of hours they work.

SALARY:
- Annual salary step increases based upon satisfactory performance and completion of one year of employment (Step A to E).
HEALTH:
- Approximately 80% of the premium for medical, dental, and vision plan is paid by the County (EPO Plan). The plan covers the employee and all eligible dependents at NO ADDITIONAL COST
- Employee premiums are $234.54 per month as of January 1, 2025 for employee and all eligible dependents.
PAID LEAVES:
- Benefits also include an annual paid leave plan of
- 96 hours of vacation (increases upon continuous years of service)
- 96 hours of sick leave
- 14 paid holidays plus one 8 hour personal holiday
- Approximately 80% of the premium for a $30,000 life insurance plan for the employee is paid for by the County.
RETIREMENT:
- A retirement plan through CalPERS.

- Classic member = 2% @ 55
- New Member = 2% @ 62
